Danny Breslin

How it is…

I’m Published!

Finally, after all this time I can go to Amazon and see my name, my book, my work. It feels…overwhelming.

Me & Gus on the Roof of the World will be free from midnight pacific time that’s 8am GMT so you can pick up a copy. But if you do fancy paying then get one right now and help out a struggling author with a dodgy kidney. Here’s the link:

Amazon.com

For everyone else around the world just go to your usual Amazon site and search for Danny Breslin.

For those that know me, you’ll be aware that I’m not into slushy stuff, but there is something I wanted to get off my chest. I’ve been blogging for a while now and have met some top people over the net; truly talented people who have touched me (not literally, they’d have to wash their hands) and made a difference in my life, have lifted me when I needed it and inspired me to be the best I can be. I’m not going to mention all of you because there isn’t time but if you don’t get a mention it doesn’t mean I don’t care.

There are people who have made me laugh out loud such as Richardmax22 who always has a fishy tale to tell, Feck This Shit the Irish manboy who never fails to make me laugh with the stories of his global adventures, Collies of the Meadow following the antics of his gang of mad collies, and of course the truly insane but immensely loveable Dutch Judy who really REALLY needs professional help.

There are amazing artists, my favourite of all is and always has been Marina Kanavaki.

Brilliant poets such as MJ from Laughing Penguins, Andy Szpuk and Fairytale Epidemic.

Faultless writers like Seyi Sandra David, Christian Mihai and Paulette Mahurin.

Some who take you on a journey to show you a bit of the world you might not have seen before like Alison and Don and Michael Lai or superb animal photography like Bulldog.

Or just damn good bloggers who I enjoy reading: Jamie GoldsFlying Bubbles, Eric Alagan, Gina4star, Denise Hisey, Ishaiya, Cat Forsley, John Zande, Jessica, Krystal, Misaki the list goes on and on; you know who you are – massive respect!

Although we have but a short time on this little spinning rock, what we have done will live on.

    • Your photographs deserve a mention, they’re spectacular. It takes me back to a trip around South Africa I did – which incidentally might be the story in my next book.

    That is brilliant news, Danny!!!
I will of course repeat the second wish of mine [and that one only!]
    MAY IT SELL LIKE HELL!!!
…wait a minute, that is your celebration, how come I see my name in there?!!! Is this an evasive move to avoid the lights of stardom?!!! Joking of course, I am deeply touched by your mention and praise, especially on you day!
Thank you my friend and I wish you all the best and all in good health!!!

    • Your name is in there because you are very special to me and Bones. How many mornings have I got up feeling grumpy only to see your latest work and suddenly the clouds are gone? Too many to count. I should be thanking you.

Comment by Danny Breslin | July 12, 2013 | Reply

      • My friend, I cannot think of anything more rewarding than your words. If my work can do that, it’s a wish come true! Thank you and all the best for your book!!! (a little pat on Bones’ sweet head)

  8. Congratulations! Seeing that first published work is such a high. I remember almost wearing the ink off the page reading and re-reading my first published story. I believe I was paid $25.00. I couldn’t have been any happier if it had been a million. And thank you for your honoring me with a credit in those you read. It meant a lot.

    • Well deserved Richard my friend. I’m no fisherman but from what I’ve read we’re eerily similar in our outlook on life. You keep writing and I’ll keep reading.
