  1. Finished your book. Great reading. But after finishing it all I can say is, I’m sure glad it was not me. In today’s newspaper I read that the Chinese government forcefully herded 10,000 people into a stadium to watch 80 people be lashed to poles and machine gunned. Some for supposedly speaking out against the government, and some for nothing more than being caught with a bible.

    • I’m glad you enjoyed it mate. I wouldn’t wish what happened to me on anyone, on the other hand if it hadn’t happened then I wouldn’t have been able to write about it so there’s always a positive.
      That stuff with the public executions went on in North Korea, it’s an absolute tragedy. The Chinese are much cleaner with their executions: a single bullet through the back of the neck then a bill for the bullet sent to the family – far more civilised.
