What the hell is happening to my country? I was no angel but this was unheard of among my peers. Within a single generation they seem to have gone feral.

    • We’re breeding sociopaths with absolutely no moral compass, they believe the more ruthless they act the more respect they get. It has to come down to bad parenting, social problems and the daily diet of violence in video games and on TV.
The thing is how will it ever get better? Will bad parenting skip a generation?

  3. Sadly, Danny, it’s not just your country. To balance it a little, here’s a cyber hug and wishes for a happy Sunday to you and yours.

    • That’s very sweet of you. We should not forget that stories of people’s kindness don’t make the papers often and for every bad person there are thousands who are good.

      • I’d love love love to see a paper with some good news in it. That’s where I’d put my dollar. 🙂

      • Yes indeed, but good news doesn’t sell as well as bad news unfortunately. I’m not sure whether we have a ghoulish thirst for bad news or the news providers prefer us miserable.

  5. They have always been there. The difference now is threefold: (1) the Internet, allowing them to connect with each other; (2) more than seven billion people on Earth, meaning that if the psychos have always been 10% of the population, there are simply more of them; and (3) the 24/7 news cycle, allowing us to hear about them very quickly.

    • So that’s 700,000,000 psychopaths in the world? Yeah, I suppose somebody’s got to be in charge.
